Whether you ride solo, with family, alongside a club, or support riders through your business, there is a place for you at CMMG

Why Membership matters

Safety & Education: The organization promotes rider safety with campaigns like “Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month” in May. They helped establish the Mandatory Motorcycle Training Program as part of the provincial graduated licensing program. see our resources page
Legislative Rights: CMMG represents riders in provincial matters, advocating for reforms and protecting rider rights from unfair policies.
Advocated for better accessibility permits for disabled motorcycle riders
Community & Events: Members enjoy a network of riders and a calendar of events like poker derbies, charity rides, and demo days.
Accessible Membership: With annual fees starting at just $25 for Regular or $35 for families/ household, it is an affordable way for riders of any age to support the continued safe enjoyment of motorcycling in Manitoba.

What each type of membership means

Every category strengthens the coalition in a different way.

Here is what each membership is intended for, what it supports, and how participation works.

Individual / Regular Membership

Your ride. Your perspective. Your vote. This membership is for one person who believes Manitoba motorcyclists should have a strong, informed voice when decisions are made about their roads, insurance, and riding future.

Whether you commute, tour the province, ride only on weekends, or are just getting started, individual membership gives you a direct way to take part in the coalition’s work. Riders of cruisers, baggers, sport bikes, adventure bikes, trikes, sidecar motorcycles and other styles all have different experiences worth hearing.

$25Annual membership · one person

Participation: Voice and vote

Who is this for?

  • Individual motorcycle owners and riders
  • New, returning, recreational, and experienced riders
  • Riders who do not belong to a motorcycle club
  • People seeking individual voting participation in CMMG

What your membership helps support

  • Advocacy related to fair motorcycle insurance and rider rights
  • Road safety awareness and rider education efforts
  • Communication about issues affecting Manitoba motorcyclists
  • A place for riders to share concerns and propose solutions

02

Family / Household Membership

Share the passion. Give each member a voice. This option is designed for households where two or more people want to participate in CMMG. It provides a lower-cost way to bring more than one household member into the coalition while recognizing each person’s individual perspective.

A family may include two riders with different types of bikes, a rider and a supportive household member, or several household members who share an interest in motorcycle advocacy. The key difference from an individual membership is that the household can enroll more than one person at the family rate.

$35 Annually for two members
+$10 per additional household member

Participation: Each member has voice and vote

Who is this for?

  • Couples who ride together or separately
  • Households with multiple motorcycle enthusiasts
  • Riders and household members who support rider rights
  • Families who want more than one person involved in CMMG

Why choose a household membership?

  • Enroll two household members for one annual base fee
  • Add additional household members for $10 each annually
  • Give each enrolled eligible member a separate voice and vote
  • Support motorcycle safety as a shared household interest

Example: Two household members = $35 per year. Three = $45. Four = $55. Eligibility and voting procedures remain subject to CMMG’s bylaws.

03

Motorcycle Business / Dealer Membership

Support the riders who support your business. This membership is designed for motorcycle dealerships and motorcycle-related businesses that want a meaningful connection to Manitoba’s riding community and the issues affecting it.

Motorcycle retailers, repair shops, custom builders, parts and accessories providers, and other motorcycle-sector businesses bring valuable experience from working directly with riders. CMMG offers an avenue for the business community and riders to better understand shared challenges and opportunities.

Membership signals support for a stronger motorcycle community. It is not simply an advertisement—it is an opportunity to contribute industry perspectives and help advance rider interests.

$125 Annual business membership

  • Motorcycle repair, service, and customization shops

Offer expertise, streamline processes, and create tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.

04

Associate Membership

You do not have to own a motorcycle to stand up for motorcyclists. Associate membership welcomes supporters who believe in the importance of rider rights, traffic safety, responsible riding, and a connected motorcycle community but who may not fit the regular rider, household, or motorcycle-dealer categories.

Support can come from many places: community-minded companies, safety advocates, professional service providers, interested individuals, or organizations whose work connects with motorcycling. Associates can bring ideas, experience, skills, and useful community relationships to the coalition.

This category makes room for people who want to participate and be heard without having a formal membership vote.

$60 Annual associate membership

Participation: Voice, no vote

Who is this for?

  • Motorcycle enthusiasts who support the mission
  • Non-motorcycle businesses and community partners
  • Road-safety and education supporters
  • People who want to contribute knowledge or ideas without voting

How associates can contribute

  • Share relevant perspectives, feedback, and concerns
  • Support public awareness of vulnerable road users
  • Connect CMMG with potential community collaborators
  • Help strengthen conversation between motorcyclists and the wider public

Participation: Associates have a voice but no vote. This is a support and involvement category; it should not be presented as a voting membership.

05

Affiliate Riding Group / Organization Membership

Keep your identity. Add your group’s voice to a bigger conversation. Affiliate membership is designed for independent riding groups, motorcycle clubs, associations, and organizations that share CMMG’s interest in road safety, rider rights, and cooperation across Manitoba’s motorcycle community.

Manitoba is home to many types of riding groups, each with its own history, culture, events, and priorities. CMMG is a coalition, not a replacement for those organizations. An affiliate group retains its own identity and internal leadership while contributing its perspective to broader motorcycle issues.

Groups can help circulate relevant safety information, raise concerns from their members, and explore collaborative awareness efforts with other motorcycle organizations.$35Annual group / organization membership

Participation: Voice, no vote

Who is this for?

  • Motorcycle clubs and independent riding groups
  • Women’s riding organizations and mixed riding groups
  • Regional, charity, recreational, and community riding associations
  • Groups representing different motorcycle styles or riding interests

Why affiliate with CMMG?

  • Bring your group’s concerns and ideas into coalition discussions
  • Stay connected to province-wide advocacy and safety topics
  • Encourage responsible group-riding practices and “Ride Your Own Ride” principles
  • Build relationships without surrendering your group’s independence
  • Support common motorcycle interests while respecting group differences

Important distinction: The affiliate organization has a voice but no vote. Membership of a riding group does not automatically give each of that group’s members an individual CMMG membership or individual voting rights.

Common membership questions

Do I need to ride a certain motorcycle brand? No. CMMG’s coalition approach welcomes riders across brands, motorcycle styles, and riding interests.

Do I need to belong to a motorcycle club? No. Individuals can join directly. Riding groups can join separately through the affiliate category.

Can my group join without changing how it operates? Affiliate membership is intended to support collaboration without replacing a group’s separate identity or leadership.

Does an affiliate membership give all group members a vote? No. The affiliate group has a voice but no vote. Anyone seeking individual voting rights should review the individual or household categories.

How many votes does a dealer membership carry? One designated voice and vote for the business, not one for every staff member.

Can a non-rider support CMMG? Yes. Associate / Supporter membership is an option for people and organizations who wish to support the mission without voting. Household eligibility depends on CMMG’s rules.

Is a family membership the same as one household vote? No. Under the published participation description supplied for this page, each enrolled household member has voice and vote, subject to eligibility and governing rules.

Are discounts or business promotions guaranteed? No particular discount, business listing, or promotional placement is guaranteed by the fee descriptions shown here. Ask CMMG about current offers and any applicable conditions.
